I still think the first and, depending on the answer, only question to ask at a job interview for software person is, "What projects are you working on at home?" All the best software people I've met have home projects. I've met plenty of developers who don't and none of them has measured up to those who do. Anyone can program a computer, but only someone who enjoys it can really get good at it.

I've always got a few projects going, and they most usually make an appearance on my unblog.
