No, I did not re-join the game. allequal_13 was cancelled because of a
high NMR count and poor participation. The GM felt it wasn't a
good-faith game and asked players if they wanted to cancel or look for
another player. We opted for cancellation so it wouldn't count
"against" our records/standings. I think it would have been the 3rd
replacement in a short period of time.

I did participate in acid7, though didn't last as long as I'd hoped. I
adopted Austria in a very precarious position. I managed to stick it
out for a couple seasons, which I think was a pretty good feat given
where I had started. I did last longer than England, so I wasn't first
one out. Italy wasn't communicating at all, and my proposed GAT
alliance to stop FI did not go over as well as I had hoped. Turkey got
greedy, and Russia didn't coordinate w/Germany well enough to hold the
line against France. It was a lost cause from the start. France moved
a little early, but because no one else on the board could form a
cohesive defense, it still dominated and won. After Turkey back-stabbed
me, I ran over to Italy with the help of Germany, and then showed my
final support to France with my last move.

One thing I don't think Turkey understood about the game is that
sometimes it doesn't make sense to gain supply centers if it weakens
your explicit, implied, or theoretical alliances. For example, there
were a number of times I could have taken land from Germany, but that
would mean a loss of units against the French/German front. If I don't
want France to gain ground, I cannot gain ground against Germany... The
safest country to attack and still keep France at bay would have been
Italy. Alas, it didn't work out.

I am looking forward to another mn-dip game, especially since Ryan
volunteered to GM. I propose to a normal-press game (not FTF_PRESS),
MUST_ORDER, LATE_CHANGES, SILENT_ABSENCES, and a -MTWTFS, 2 day move, 1
day retreat/adjustment timing.

I know we had POWER_CHOICE for the first part of the last game, which
was then disabled. I propose no POWER_CHOICE in this game.

Anyone ready to start another game?

Chad
