Potentially...I know there were a couple of times that I would have liked to
have communicated during the adjustment phases, but that wasn't a huge
problem.

and the MUST_ORDER restriction?

While I understand that MUST_ORDER is slightly "unnatural", I thought it
allowed the game to be strategic, rather than relying on mistakes or NMRs.
Based on limited experience, NMRs seem so incredibly damaging that I think
it hurts the game in some ways. On the other hand, there's the excitement
of not knowing whether your neighbor is plotting against you or just
incommunicado.

Personally, I prefer purely strategic/tactical games, making Dip a bit of a
stretch for me, as I'm not particularly fond of games that turn into a
simple "get the leader"/social engineering exercises. That's part of the
fun of Dip, but at times, I feel that it becomes Dip's weakness.

Oh wait, is MUST_ORDER just about press? D'oh.

At any rate, I know that life can definitely take precedence over a game,
even so, I thought MUST_ORDER was fine. I didn't think it was particularly
onerous to issue a set of orders before issuing press. Even though it bit
me once, with A STP - FIN, which I had agreed with Germany to change to A
STP H.

I'm neither for nor against MUST_ORDER for future games.

Christian
would happily play in another game...
