All you'll find retail are the new Hasbro edition and possibly the 1990s
era "deluxe diplomacy" edition from Avalon hill.  The former has metal
pieces and an ugly board.  The later has wooden pieces and pretty board
but hasn't been made in 6 years or so.  The 1980s "bookshelf" edition
from Avalon Hill has plastic pieces that I actually really like and a
pretty board.  Older than that is the Games Research edition, which is
much soft after but currently only $9 on ebay.  All editions are
available cheap on ebay.
