Damn, that's too bad. Perhaps the judgemaster can fix
the problem for you, as Chad suggested? I'd certainly
be willing to wait for a response from the judgemaster
before we get started.

Interestingly enough, since Tom was on the original
list, and that list was only 6 people, and there is
one spot left open in the game, it follows that we
*did* hit our needed seven people somehow. Who is the
seventh person? I'm assuming nothing in the rules
prevents me from asking.
