It's a very subjective call, depending upon what one person considers
fair.  In the cut-throat style of "all information is fair", then any
type of "gunboat" is pretty much useless.  True "gunboat" is no press,
no email, but IMHO, this ceases to be Diplomacy as the game is
intended.

I'm playing my first true NO_PRESS game right now, so it'll be
interesting to see how it turns out.  As of Spring 1901, I am the only
player to start with a supporting move for a neighbor.  Hopefully, my
action will allow me to gain an ally right from the start.

I believe so, but only in so much as the contributions to the list can
reveal.  I'm quite certain that you would pick me out in a crowd,
unless I knew you would be using my writing style to guess my
identity...
