I think large amounts of advanced notice definitely helps -- we always
try to give at least 30 days. Picking an actual Nth weekend of the
month style date does make long range planning easier, but given our
small draw size I suspect being flexible to anyone who speaks up early
enough needs gets us more people.

That said, generally speaking we do the 4th Saturday or Sunday of the
month though holidays push us off as often as they don't. Myself, I'm
busy the 3rd weekend of every month, so I'd vote against that one.

As for a next game time, it's probably already too late to schedule
anything in January. For February the 4th weekend is Saturday the 28th
and Sunday the 29th. Anyone got opinions between those two?
