I couldn't find any either.  I went through the google groups
rec.games.diploamcy archives and couldn't find much dicussion either.

Yeah, that would have made a difference down there.  Another intersting
rule I found after the game was that while one can build units in any
center one own, one can only do so if one owns at least one of one's
original home centers.  So completely nomadic powers aren't possible at
least not ones that flourish.

Back in 1993 I started out Face to Face and we used to play almost every
week for a year or so.  I've been in love with the face to face game
ever since.  I've played some PBEM but it's just never had the same
thrill for me.  The consenus in r.g.d seems to be that most people
prefer whichever they play first.
