In May of '97 I decided to try smoking a pipe. Whenever I'd walked by a pipe smoker it always smelled good, so I gave it a go. Welp, it tastes even better than it smells. Since then pipes have been a sort of hobby. I don't enjoy a pipe very often (usually about two pipes a week), which is good because if I did I'd need more than the handful of pipes I've got. Also, I seems to recall someone saying something about all good things in moderation, but I sorta lost interest after that part.

Pipe smoking is one of the most relaxing things I've ever had the good fortune to try. It tastes good, smells good, and even the actions involved are relaxing. It's not exactly the healthiest of hobbies, but pipe smokers do live longer on average than non-smokers.
